A Delicate Beginning to Winter Weather

Snug in the studio with a few recent acquaintances as the snow gently fell outside.

Less than an inch - really just a dusting.

  1. It looks so beautiful, but I'm glad you have it, Susan! :) It's still sunny, though cool here, so I'm going to put aside the brushes, and go for a romp with the Big Guy! I LOVE your photo of you with all the portraits!!!

    1. Thanks, Judy - this photo surprised me. I wasn't aware that many of the portraits are so large! I was once told in a workshop never to paint a portrait larger than life size. Oh, well!

  3. I love the photo of you and your work. Great idea! That would make a great painting in itself!
I am so glad you got some snow.
We in south coast of Massachusetts just missed snow by only a few miles.
I am wondering if I am the only one upset!
Take care and enjoy the beautiful, breathtaking, snow!

    1. The snow is mostly gone - except for above 6000 feet on the mountains. The skiers are happy this season for the early snow. We have warmed up considerably now and I am back to enjoying the crisp autumn weather.

  6. This is a fabulous photo with your paintings grouped around you. It shows so clearly how great you are at painting the LIGHT!
Snowy hillside with a great snow filled sky actually made me nostalgic for the snow. Lovely image.

  8. Brrrrrrrrrrr!!

    Gros bisous.

    1. I am trying to figure out a way to store my completed works. I recently spent hours searching for a painting that someone wanted to buy after seeing it on my website. I need a new system!

  11. Do you talk to these people?
I do to mine. One man on my wall looks very disapproving at me, at my laziness and lack of creativity.
I am glad this is not your story.
Great portraits. Lady in glasses is so beautiful.
