New Gallery for the New Year!
I have just spent the last few days in a frenzy trying to get paintings framed and shipped for my new gallery space at the Wellington Equestrian Gallery in West Palm Beach, Florida. I am still waiting for a few more frames to be delivered but will ship out this majority in the next few days. I am so excited! What a lovely way to sweep in to the end of the year! Sadly, with guests here over the Thanksgiving holiday and with the time spent framing, I have not done much painting. But now I am so eager to get back to the easel!

ReplyDeleteGood luck at the Wellington Gallery Susan! The gallery is fortunate to have your fine work to display.
ReplyDeleteYou are eager to paint and many are eager to see your work!
Enjoy!
Michael
I feel so fortunate to have this gallery, Michael. Having professional representation is a dream come true for me and I am still having a hard time believing it!
DeleteSusan, your paintings look superb - such very beautiful frames!!! I wish you all the best with the Wellington Gallery!
ReplyDeleteThnak you, Kathryn. I think my work looks best in a rather plain frame with a flat profile - a plein air type. The frame dresses up the painting without overwhelming it. Thanks for your good wishes!
DeleteI really appreciate your design and your choice as well. Is this cards affordable and where we can get this.
ReplyDeleteThe paintings look wonderful wishing you much success at the Wellington Gallery. A great start to the New Year indeed :)
ReplyDeleteI feel so lucky and so happy about the gallery - thanks so much, Elizabeth!
DeleteThey look so good together! Good luck and lots of success!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks, Judy. It would be lovely to begin the new year with a sale or two. Oil paint and linen supports have become more and more expensive!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Jane. I am still waiting for two more frames and will ship those separately. Its such a big project getting everything ready.
DeleteThey look great all dressed up and ready to go! Best of luck with your new venture. I suspect you'll do wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteOh, Susan, I hope so! Thanks so much for your support.
DeleteWhat a great looking group of work..best of luck with the gallery!
ReplyDeleteI am so nervous, Stephanie and hope it goes well. Thanks for your kind words!
DeleteYour work looks wonderful framed. I see you buy all the same frame--except for a silver one--what made you change for that painting? I am very curious as to what goes on preparing for a show. I predict a sell out. Your work is so unique and attractive everyone will want one--or two--in their collection. My favorite is the ballet dancers on horseback, very imaginative.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. I prefer a plein air type frame about 3 inches wide so the painting does not seem confined. The matte black frame with gold wood liner seems to set off my work well. I have tried burnished silver plein air - it is more subdued than it looks in this photo - as it has a more contemporary look. I am trying it out on certin paintings and am pleased. I just ordered some black plein air frames with silver liner and edging. I hope I like them as frames are so expensive. Next week I will do the shipping - that is what really breaks the bank!
DeleteLooks great Susan! I'm so happy for you :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gina! :)
