I finally had some time to paint today and decided to bring this one to completion. Oil on linen 18x24.

  3. Good decision. It looks wonderful, but I wouldn't have expected anything but the best here. You continue to be so inspiring. How can one beat that?

    Enjoy your painting day.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words. I feel that I always lose some of the spontanity when I revisit a painting.

  4. It looks great, with every detail of the action showing. A wonderful painting.

I hope the move to the new gallery is successful, Susan,

    1. Thanks, John - the Wellington, Palm Beach area of Florida has the reputation of being the equestrian captital of the southern US. Lots of Polo is played there - not sure about Steeplechase. In any event, there are plenty of horse lovers in the area. Thank you for your words of support - I am keeping my fingers crossed!

  5. Beautiful composition, and a beauty of a horse, but why do I find myself looking for a bit of tutu peeking out from under the rider's jacket??? :)

    1. LOL - I often wonder myself which way it will turn out - rider or ballerina astride!
