Ballerina 24 is just coming undone! She is falling to pieces and is in a state of complete disarray after dealing with Hurricane Sandy and the Election. I do think she needs a long vacation. Oil on linen panel 24x18
Hi Susan. She really does look quite discombobulated! But beautifully painted. Love the strokes of pinks and blues - adds to the general feel of minor mayhem. :)ReplyDelete
She can't decide whether to stay in this dimension or the next - very disconcerting for her!Delete
Oh poor girl! But beautifully painted! Nr. 24, wow!ReplyDelete
I can hardly believe she is #24 either! Thanks, Judy.Delete
Heel mooi geschilderd.De zachte kleuren komen goed tot hun recht.ReplyDelete
That beautiful blueish gray is a mixture of burnt sienna and ultra marine with white. Thanks for your comment, Simmone.Delete
It can't be easy being a ballerina in such stressful times ... she's doing her best, but 24 is not a number she is comfortable with ... she feels like a jockey without a horse (sounds familiar)ReplyDelete
Another fabulous painting, susan
You know her too well, JOhn - she has been looking for that steed all afternoon!Delete
Thank you for this thoughtful comment, Martine. Although my ballerinas may not be typical, they are extremely serious and focused - for the most part!ReplyDelete
