Untitled as of yet, this is another 18 x24 oil on linen panel. I love painting horses and trying to establish the correct level of connectedness between the horse and the rider while acknowledging their attempts to fleetingly defy gravity!
I like the oil on the linen very much and the race is in motion. There's something about the ground that adds energy to the paint. Thrilling painting. You've got the riders sitting just right. I can hear hooves.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Linda. I love the marriage of oil and linen and wish I could afford a more highly textured linen surface - the one I use is actually fairly smooth. Perhaps someday.......Delete
