Equine #6 - another study in the series

This painting was done from one of the Equine Wednesday post drawings of last week and is 14 x 18 oil on linen.

  1. hey - good one... I recognized it from the previous drawing. Pretty fabulous paint marks going on in here. I felt the usual thrill at seeing how well you paint. The subtle warm and cool areas on the coat are amazingly beautiful.

    1. Many thanks, Julie. I love the positioning of this horse but found it challenging to make the turn of the head and neck look credible in paint. It was easier with a few lines of the pencil! :O

  4. Hi Susan! Your horses dance like your plump ballerinas. It all makes sense to me now. What seemed like two unlikely subjects to pour out of you, are now finding unity after all... Paint on girl! It's all great.
