Oil on canvas 14x11. Done from a black and white photo reference. I recently bought a tube of Winsor and Newton Permanent Green and needed to try it out!

  2. I am sure permanent green felt happy that its life would not go down the drain.
I like to think about things around me, how they gossip about me at night: brushes tell paints "Did you see moth today? Oh, our life is going downhill here.."
    Portrait with character, great.

    1. Hi, Irina, Permanent Green is an interesting color. I once took a portrait class and perm green was a recommended color. I had forgotten how wonderfully it mixes. Your comment made me laugh - my tubes of paint are always talking to me :)!

  5. Very strong face beautifully painted. You captured the structure around the eyes so well and I can't help wondering what he is thinking about.
Thanks for the encouraging comments on my work. They came just when I needed them.
