I am really honored to be included in Rick Reinert's new Small Works Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina. There are some really incredible artists represented there - I have to pinch myself when I see my name listed with theirs! Here is the link to the new website: Reinert Fine Art-The Small Works Gallery

  1. If I could paint horses with this passion and animation, I would be very happy. Love these paintings, Susan, especially the large work. It made me think immediately of the early morning warm-up around Newcastle. [No, haven't been there, but have friends who do]

    1. Many thanks for your kind words, Kathryn. I admit to having way more fun that a person should while painting these two. I seemed to be in the groove from start to finish with both of them. So glad you like them!

  5. Congratulations! But of course. I think your work is outstanding. They are well drawn and the action springs them to life. I can hear the thunder of hooves when I look at your paintings Susan. There are great things in store for you. In case you haven't guessed, I'm a big fan.

As for a title. Race to The Finish popped to mind. The Thunder of Hooves? I'll keep thinking.

    1. Linda, you have made my day and given me a surge of confidence with your comments. After receiving the small paintings, Rick Reinert invited me to be in the regular gallery so now I have two of these new large pieces there as well as the work in the small gallery. This new opportunity excites me more than any other as I think Charleston is a great art town and just the place to get my equine paintings in the public eye. I greatly appreciate your support and am exceedingly glad you are a fan!

    ✾ Gros bisous ✾

    1. Thank you for your wonderful words, Martine. This new gallery is another wonderful opportunity for me. There is a lot of "horse country" in the Charleston area so I am hoping my equine paintings do well there!

    1. So funny, Julie - I am so particular about my brushes. Some days I like one kind of brush and some days another. I never know which one will come to life in my hand and often try out several before I find the one with the magic touch! I will now have my work hung in the large gallery as well - oh, happy day!
