Ballerina # 29

Ballerina #29 / oil on linen panel / 24 x 18
I am a little happier with this ballerina than with my other recent attempts even though the color is unusual for me. Thank you for looking and for your thoughts.

  1. Your paintings just keep getting better and better. I LOVE THIS ONE!!! The bunny ears are fabulous! The red jacket is gorgeous! {I love reds.] And the background enhances the sense of the leap ... jette ... whatever - the sense of motion. BRAVO!!!

  5. You are really someone special. The energy, the movement, the color in your work is brilliant one painting after the other. And the draughtsmanship is as outstanding as any I've seen.

    1. Many, many thanks for your generous comment, Linda. I rely greatly on drawing skills in both my figurative and equine paintings and am a stickler for proper anatomy no matter what the position of the subject. And, as you can probably surmise, I love painting objects in motion.
