Wooo... Synchronicity! I was at work today, happened to take my sketch book. My last patient wanted to take a look, looked through as he was sitting with a mouth full of fluoride, and stopped and pointed at a self portrait I'd done a few months ago. And I thought I really should do a proper one ... and then you posted yours when I got home. Well, that was long and pointless. :) LOVE your self portrait, Susan!
Gros bisous
Susan! Fantastic self portrait! So tough to do with a mirror! Good for you! I can only do a '"self portrait" from a photo! Bravo Susan! Your snow bound art buddy! Michael
Hi Susan I don't get much time to swing by anymore. Love what you've been doing. All that stuff that just pours out of you, it's the ticket! Your drawings are just wonderful too. I can see why you are sad the sessions are coming to an end. Keep up the great work!
Hi, Susan - I know how busy you must be and I thank you for your support. I just stopped by your blog to catch your latest light filled delight of a painting and am in awe!
Hi, Julie - and thank you for your concern. I am touched that you missed seeing me here. Its been a hard and frustrating couple of weeks. I was on such a roll and kind of screeched to a halt when I began studying to get those 80 continuing education credits to renew my license. Afterwards, I spent a week of great frustration with wipe off after wipe off. I am not sure if I am going to hit my stride again soon but I am persevering!

DeleteSusan, I am sorry. I have just read this comment.
DeleteHi Susan - I've been away, ill, but am fine now and will try to get my show back on the road ASAP!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you were ill, John - and hope you have made a complete recovery. I have missed you.
DeleteI hope your absence from blogging does not mean absence from easel.
ReplyDeleteI hope your duties are OK as planned.
Thank you, Irina. You are very kind.
DeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful self-portrait! You have inspired me to try my hand at it one of these days.
I have done a few over the years, Wendy - and I highly recommend it! :)
