Ballerina #12, a Portrait Study and Snow!

The sun broke through after a wildly windy snow storm and it was magical! Ballerina # 12 is very high key and I did a quick portrait study after dinner.

  5. All your big ballerinas are beautiful. I love them! I love the portrait here. I found your comment on white paint interesting too--I use the W&N and thought about trying something different--maybe I'll stick with that. BTW, what kind of linen panels to you use?

  8. Susan, your portrait study is brilliant! The Ballerina is absolutely superb; I do like the high key format, and the cool and absorbed look on her face. SNOW???? Great photo of the snow as the veil sweeps across the mountains.

  10. My goodness - such a nice response to these works - thank you all so much! Stephanie, I have been trying out the Centurion Linen panels that are primed with oil. I like them but I think I prefer a coarser weave. I really love Fredrix linen panels but they have become very expensive. The Centurion is a more cost effective alternative.
