I have regrets that I posted the first portrait on my blog because, as it turns out, it is more personal than I realized at first. I apologize to those who were upset by it. I considered removing it but there had been so many visitors to my blog and a few comments that I decided to let it be. My intent was to paint pure emotion during a moment of intensity and not worry much about likeness. Possibly I suceeded better than I thought I did! I added the second portrait this morning - and as you can see - I am looking a little better!
what an interesting post! i read the comments on the first portrait! so glad you left it up. i didn't get a sense that you weren't well from it at all. the title might give that impression. either way, i love your brushwork in both and think your expression speaks volumes. lovely work as always!
ReplyDeleteThankyou, Suzanne - I can't tell you how much I appreciate your comment :).
ReplyDeleteI thought that's a wonderful portrait. I don't know what you really look like other than your profile shot and the one with the R&R shades on. Hope things are going well now and that your move will bring blessings.
