Several weeks ago I went to the Arabian Horse Show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds here in San Diego. There were dressage competitions in the main ring but I was lucky enough to photograph this young cowgirl giving her horse a workout in an adjoining ring.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Rick, I enjoyed painting this as I saw the power and deliberate movement of this magnificent animal when I was at the show. The connection and respect between the horse and rider was very apparent and I wanted that to come through in the painting. And, Gina, thank you so much for your kind words - I am glad you like it.
