Equine #7

Equine #7 / 14x18 / oil on linen

I am pleased with this study but not very pleased with the photograph. I take the photos of my paintings in my studio under pretty constant lighting conditions but the color in this, after taking several shots, is kind of washed out. This photo is the closest to the painting as I could get but still not correct. I may try to retake it in the morning tomorrow.

  1. this is a beautiful painting, Susan! He's jumping off the canvas!...I like the color and expression!! Isn't it a shame that it takes a few photos to get the right colors.!?

    1. Glad you like him, Hilda :). I took new photos this morning but they were not much different. Oh well - I am definitely not a photographer!

  5. Love the way the tail and mane appear to be moving. Also admire the way you incorporated the background with the movement of the horse. Wow - you are so GOOD!
