    1. Hi, Martine Alison, and a very happy New Year to you! How nice that you are having a warm spell! We are in what the weathermen are calling a "deep freeze"! Our nighttime low was about 17 degrees F last night - brrrr! But the lovely thing about Reno is that the days warm up and the snow on the roadways tends to melt away. It seems perfect to me!

    1. Having a white Christmas made me so happy, Michael. My children were here and it snowed almost all day. It jogged our memories and we shared lots of stories about our snowy experiences when we lived in Canada. We all took turns using the snow blower or the shovels and had great fun! A happy and safe New Year to you and yours, Michael!

  8. Twas the day after Christmas and what to our wonderous eyes should appear? A blizzard, a bit late, but white as you would want on a Christmas morn. I ran to the market, filled my basket with vitals, drove home slowly glad I was prepared to fiddle away the hours over the next couple days with a stocked pantry. Hope your pantry is filled too Susan, tis the season.

    1. LOL - I did the same, Linda! The city does not plow my neighborhood streets so I always make a mad dash for the food store before the snow comes. Interestingly, the snow doesn't seem to last long on the streets - it melts away, even though the lawns and wild areas remain snow covered. How perfect is that?!!!!

  9. Wow, hope you're enjoying the snow. We're getting lots tomorrow but we got about 2" of lovely slow fluffy snow on Christmas-so pretty. Congratulations on your Santa being on the magazine cover. It's an awesome painting!
