  3. That is daring to use a mundane surface. You are a wonderful painter and on this not-for-fine-art surface would be frowned upon by the stuck-up among us. Not me. How do you buy that? By the roll?

    1. I approach brown paper and newsprint with a much bolder attitude then I approach an expensive linen panel. I wish I could blindfold myself so I didn't know the difference (now, how much sense does that make?)! Yes, this brown paper is the kind used for wrapping up packages to mail - I bought it in the local pharmacy. The one problem is that it tends to curl up and I have to fight with it to get it to lay flat. I have seen pads of brown paper in the art store. I may go for that next time.
