A New Home for my Great Dane

Sold! And on his way to a new home in South Carolina today. He is 12x16 oil on canvas panel. I will miss him terribly and am already having separation anxiety.

  10. He is a most handsome dude! I can understand your missing him. He has that beautiful yet awkward [and lovable] look of the breed.

    1. Ah - if only it were that easy! Actually, I have tried to do that in the past - paint another of a painting that has been sold - but have not had success. It seems there is only one of each in the universe!
Thanks, John - and I did have a nice weekend - a rather spectacular one in fact :)! Hope you did too!

    1. It always thrills me to sell a painting - and I ususally run right out to the art store and buy more paint, brushes and canvas!

  14. Great painting Susan!
We all know the feeling of missing a painting!
Not too long ago I sold a painting that I had no intention of selling! The buyer had such an emotional and heart warming attachment that I just had to let him have it. I still miss it and have two framed photos of that piece hanging in my home. (i still miss it!)
Love your work and I will be back again.

    1. Hi, Michael - and many thanks for stopping by! It's always a surprise to me how attached I am and how hard it is to let them go. Like you miss yours, I still miss mine! Obviously they are a labor of love!
