  1. I LOVE IT! Very original Susan. This piece is unique. It should be in a museum, next gallery over from Degas.

    1. You just made my day, Linda! I think for that to happen, however, I will have to open my own museum and display my paintings next to pages from my Degas book collection! On a serious note, I hope the ballerinas are perceived as serious with an attempt at elegance even though they are not typical ballerinas.

  2. Susan, this is GREAT!!! I saw the small photo in my reading list of blogs, and cracked up! The expressions of the ballerinas' faces are perfect. You have captured a dramatic moment brilliantly and with such humor. I agree with Linda - this should be right beside one of Degas' paintings of ballerinas. :) Susan, you ROCK!

    1. Your comment also just made my day, Kathryn! My ballerinas are subjected to the forces of gravity and inertia - and I never know what will happen to them!

  3. This is a good one, Susan!!!! Well, not for her!! LOL. Beautifully painted. Her expression shows she's going down, pretty fast and hard!! I can't wait for 23.!

  7. Awesome expression on her face! And the leg sticking into the painting at the bottom is perfect. I like both of these. I think you're change to more purple is a good one. Very original interesting subject.
    Happy Painting.

It's on a totally different topic but it has pretty much the
same page layout and design. Excellent choice of colors!
