Palm Beach Polo & Country Club Gallery

I got some wonderful news today (and some terrible photos!) from Jeanne Chisholm of the Chisholm Gallery. She has hung quite a few of my Steeplechase Series paintings in her gallery at the Palm Beach Polo and Country Club. I do apologize for the poor quality of the photos but my excitement at this opportunity drove me to place them on my blog anyway! As you can see in photos 4 and 5, my pictures are in stellar company. The polo paintings are by Paul Desmond Brown (American, 1893-1958). Paul Brown is widely regarded as the pre-eminent American illustrator of equestrian subjects. I am so delighted!

  1. Congratulations Susan, its well deserved and sounds like a fantastic opportunity. Your art is unique and very special and I always enjoy seeing what you are up to. I wish you lots of sales and ongoing success although I dont know how can you bear to part with your beautiful paintings.

    1. Thanks, Tina, I greatly appreciate your sentiments. Its so funny that you should mention how difficult it is to part with the paintings - lately I have been missing these steeplechase paintings as if they were my children!

    1. Many thanks, Judy. Unfortunately the gallery is in a private community behind security gates and guards. I don't think it generally gets a lot of traffic but the gallery owner is planning on holding a few open houses. That might be good!

    1. This news did come at a good time and gave me a little nudge in my confidence level. I surely needed that after "The Month of Great Struggle".
Thanks for saying "I told you so" - that makes me smile too!
