Aproaching the Landing Zone

I just can't seem to get enough of this subject and perspective - it certainly has me fired up. I have shown two close ups so that the brushwork and paint application can be more easily seen. Its hard to get a feeling for the painterly aspect and the color nuances of a piece this large (20x24) in such a tiny photo.

  1. Hi, Victoria. Thanks so much for that one word - it means a lot to me! I love the drama in this one and the fact that horse and rider are just soaring through past clouds.

  2. Hi Susan.... thank you for your lovely comments, and now I'm just catching up with your Blog too. I've always been mad keen on horses, and I just love the way you portray them, they're so fresh, and charming.... and your brush strokes make them come alive.
    These are wonderful paintings.
