I am right handed but in order for my monitor to be at eye level so I can stand and paint, it has to be on the right side of my easel. Its purely a logistical thing. I truly have no issue with having my subject on either side however as I frequently orient myself with the subject on the left in life drawing sessions. Several years ago I saw a rather reknowned artist painting using his monitor and have found it to be so convenient. Don't you just love technology?!!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07899318999574055763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219763774238571564.post-52346865952179693992012-06-27T06:37:38.614-07:002012-06-27T06:37:38.614-07:00Hi Susan.

I noticed that you have your subject on your right. I have mine on my left. Your not left handed are you Susan? Also I have a monitor but don`t use it, but i will start using it now I see you using one. All the best Susan.<br />Vic.Victor Erringtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09374323225965910201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219763774238571564.post-25914107838752293612012-06-26T20:02:47.629-07:002012-06-26T20:02:47.629-07:00Wonderful work in progress, Susan!! The instructor had us drawing in ebony on the heavy brown paper and I had so much left over. I thought I would try it rather than using small canvases for studies and found I like it very much and (surprisingly) it handles oil paint quite well.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07899318999574055763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219763774238571564.post-52171815722262731552012-06-25T21:25:20.247-07:002012-06-25T21:25:20.247-07:00Many thanks, Nigel - your work is an inspiration t...Many thanks, Nigel - your work is an inspiration to me.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07899318999574055763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219763774238571564.post-24288973276098709302012-06-25T21:24:46.226-07:002012-06-25T21:24:46.226-07:00How nice to hear from you, Ashok - you may be the ...How nice to hear from you, Ashok - you may be the first person from India to comment on my blog and I appreciate it greatly!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07899318999574055763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219763774238571564.post-20616664460061984682012-06-25T21:24:06.589-07:002012-06-25T21:24:06.589-07:00Thanks, David - there is something very freeing wh...Thanks, David - there is something very freeing when painting on paper.Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07899318999574055763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7219763774238571564.post-17235755607015164212012-06-25T21:23:26.034-07:002012-06-25T21:23:26.034-07:00Thanks, Nora - I am always looking for new support...Thanks, Nora - I am always looking for new supports and appreciate the tip!
